December 2023 Orchid Spikes

So Many Winter Spikes!

There wasn’t much to report about my orchids for awhile, but now that we’re heading into winter, I have a whole bunch of spikes on my Phalaenopsis orchids! My two Tolumnias have spikes as well. I spent some time photographing the spikes the other day so that I could share pics here.

Well, here we are. It’s a weird time globally, with the COVID-19 pandemic having taken over our usual routines. During a panic grocery shopping trip, my husband found a gorgeous Zygopetalum hybrid that needed a good home. So it’s ours now, and I absolutely love it! The blooms are stunning, and they smell incredible.

Top 5 Posts of 2019 + A New Bloom!

Yet Another Top Post Countdown

It just occurred to me that 2019 marked my 10th year of orchid growing! This means that I’ve officially been into the hobby for a quarter of my life. That’s kind of mind blowing!
