Happy 2022! February is still a little way off, so I’m gonna say it’s still okay to wish folks a Happy New Year. 🙂 Winter is in full swing, and orchid blooming season has begun inside my greenhouse! So it’s time to share photos of the current blooms in my collection.
First up is the Bletilla striata variegata! This is one of the three terrestrial orchids that my husband got me for my birthday last year. I had a hard time taking good photos of these blooms; this is the best I’ve got:
It just occurred to me that 2019 marked my 10th year of orchid growing! This means that I’ve officially been into the hobby for a quarter of my life. That’s kind of mind blowing!

It’s been a long time since I wrote a post here. To be honest, I’ve been focusing more on my personal blog and my Instagramaccounts. But I wanted to write a little update on a couple of my orchids and give a general update on my life.
First of all, I have one orchid in spike! Just one probably doesn’t sound that exciting, but most of my orchids haven’t bloomed in years. So I am psyched!
